UM Masters Meeting 13th May 2015 - Election

On Wednesday May 13, UM Masters club had another lively meeting. Toastmaster Nicole Milani took control and lead what was a challenging role, but maintain a good flow of the meeting. She was quick to fill the vacant roles on the Agenda.

The Theme of the meeting was "Election", which generated great discussion on elections in general, especially the recent victory of the NDP win in Calgary.  Members were eager to give their views on provincial elections, what a lively discussion it was.

Congratulations to Speaker Colin Gilmore who gave an interesting and informational speech on Stocks and Bonds, giving clear direction with supporting examples on what we need to know when thinking of investing.  He delivered his presentation in simple terms for a better personal level of understanding by his audience.  The speech was well received by all members.

Timer Sakith Ratnayake,  gave a detailed timing report.  Sakith showed his ability as a good listener. There was no Table Topics Session at the meeting because of the election of new Executive Officers. Thanks to all those members who let their name stand for a role to the Executive team. Congratulations to everyone.

Members were reminded that UM Masters will hold summer meetings during the summer months.  We had one guest who came out for the first time from Investors Group.

Every one who took the stage, did so with great confidence and the opportunity for more personal growth.
